>During the autumn Bonne la vie has organised a series of gourmet breaks for guests who enjoy good food and drink (minimum 2 people).
These will include visits to vineyards of the Madiran, St Mont and Jurançon producing areas, which we aim to visit at or around the 'vidange', where some vineries host festivals to celebrate the gathering of the grape harvest with cultural events, tasting and tours of the production facilities. We'll also visit local produce markets where one can taste some of what makes this part of France so special.
As part of the packages Bonne La Vie has teamed up with BBC Masterchef and author Sarah Beattie, to offer
Sarah is the author of six cookery books which have been published around the world.
- Her first, NEITHER FISH NOR FOWL - Meatfree Eating for Pleasure was published to critical acclaim after her success in BBC TV's MasterChef.
- Her 30 Minute Vegetarian series was also published in the US and
- SMOOTHIES & JUICES has been endlessly reprinted, including editions in India and Australia.
She has also written for many national newspapers and magazines and has produced several recipe collections for a major supermarket. She has also made regular appearances on national and regional television and radio in the UK.
Sarah is now resident in Gascony has established a popular cookery school and has set up an organic potager, she is a long-time organic gardener. In her cooking she seeks to celebrate the wealth of seasonal produce and to salute the small local growers, farmers and dairies. As part of our weekend package Sarah has agreed to offer a half-day cookery class which uses the best of regional seasonal products to cook a range of traditional and modern dishes with Bonne La Vie guests.

Morning visit to a vineyard in the Jurançon area and wine cellars for tasting, lunch at gastro-bistro in Jurançon village
In the afternoon a trip to Chateau Viellha in Madiran for a stroll in the grounds followed by a six course dinner
